The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
6:56 p.m. Monday, Sportsman Road Southwest. A man reported a possible scam. He said he got a letter from a California-based law firm that did not list an address. The letter threatened police officer involvement and a call to the man's employer in response to an alleged $1,295.37 bill.
10:49 a.m. Wednesday, 7500 block of Bemidji Road Northeast.
10:51 p.m. Wednesday, 1200 block of Little Norway Avenue Southeast.
The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:
3:26 p.m. Wednesday, 500 block of Water Sprout Road Southwest. Medical call.
10:55 p.m. Wednesday, North Plantagenet Road. House fire, unfounded.
2:34 a.m. Thursday, 1100 block of First Street East. Burned grease on stove. Complainant suffered a burned hand, arm and foot, but refused medical treatment.
