Police and fire report for Aug. 12
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
8:38 p.m. Sunday, 1300 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest.
9:04 p.m. Sunday, 600 block of America Avenue Northwest. A five-speed green bike with polka dots was stolen.
3:26 p.m. Monday, 500 block of 21st Street northwest. A tub of clothing, containing about 10-12 work shirts, was stolen.
7:17 a.m. Tuesday, 23rd Street Northwest. A Honda generator valued between $700-$800 was stolen.
12:13 a.m. Tuesday, 700 block of 30th Street Northwest.
4:25 a.m. Tuesday, 1400 block of Delton Avenue Northwest.
11:06 p.m. Tuesday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest.
9:45 a.m. Tuesday, 700 block of 38th Street Northwest.
6:17 p.m. Tuesday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
1:17 p.m. Friday, Norway Bluff Drive Southeast. A resident's computer was hacked into and passwords were changed.
9:48 p.m. Friday, 100 block of Circle Pines Drive Northwest. Nine solar lights valued at $15 each were stolen.
4 p.m. Saturday, 40900 block of Range Line Road Northeast, Kelliher. Twenty feet of white trim board was taken, along with a water pump. The items were recovered and a suspect had been arrested.
4:31 p.m. Saturday, 5300 block of state Highway 89. An elderly man was reported missing, but was located at a neighbor's residence.
8:39 p.m. Saturday, Hideaway Lane Southeast. People were reportedly camping in county land. A tent was found, near which there also were marijuana plants growing nearby.
4:09 p.m. Sunday, Hideaway Lane Southeast. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating conditions of release. He was found in possession of suspected marijuana.
9:16 p.m. Friday, 4600 block of Power Dam Road Northeast. A burglary was reported involving a naked man. A suspect was arrested.
4:10 p.m. Sunday, Roosevelt Road Southeast. A cabin was reportedly burglarized about two weeks ago. The suspect(s) apparently broke a lock on a door to gain entry.
3:06 a.m. Saturday, 19600 block of Williams Road Southeast, Cass Lake. Reports were made about shots being fired in the area. The sound was determined to have come from homemade "Works bombs," which were thrown at residents' homes. (Works bombs, apparently, are homemade bombs created in part by using the household product, The Works.) No damage was done. No suspects have been identified.
11:23 p.m. Saturday, 1200 block of Little Norway Avenue Southeast. A fight was reported. Two men were arrested on suspicion of drug-related crimes. Fifty-tree marijuana plants were found growing.
