Police report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:


12:56 p.m. Wednesday, 500 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A 500-pound propane tank was taken.



121:30 a.m. Thursday, Beltrami County Courthouse. A female inmate became assaultive toward a court deputy and corrections officer after she was remanded back to the jail by a judge.

Property damage

4:30 a.m. Thursday, 3700 block of Balsam Road Northwest.

10:17 a.m. Thursday, 200 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest.

9:41 p.m. Thursday, Birch Lane Northeast.

Party complaint

10:37 p.m. 2400 block of Bemidji Avenue North.

Sheriff's report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:


2:36 a.m. Thursday, state Highway 89 Northwest. A suspect was taken into custody by Red Lake Police following a high-speed pursuit.


8:02 a.m. Thursday, A & M Auto Recycling. Cash was stolen.


6:26 p.m. Thursday, 6700 block of Division Street West. Power tools were stolen.

Fire report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

6:35 p.m. Thursday, 700 block of Third Street Southeast. Recreational fire was being extinguished.

6:44 p.m. Thursday, 1000 block of Seventh Street Northwest. A leaf pile was burning, but was being extinguished.

9 p.m. Thursday, Clausen Avenue Southeast. Small brush fire.
