Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Fire

10:05 p.m. Tuesday, 28th Street Northwest. A person reported a glue bottle caught on fire.

Missing person

7:54 p.m. Tuesday, 1600 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. An 8-year-old girl reportedly did not return home. The child was located and returned to her residence.

Drugs

7:36 p.m. Tuesday, 2500 block of Park Avenue Northwest. Officers responded to a strong smell of marijuana coming from an apartment.

Disorderly conducts

7:16 p.m. Tuesday, 900 block of Carter Circle Southeast. A 19-year-old man was arrested for violating a court order.

1:13 p.m. Tuesday, 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive South. Men loitering in front of a business were issued verbal trespass notices and advised not to return.

Welfare check

5:06 p.m. Tuesday, 800 block of Paul Bunyan Drive South. An intoxicated woman fell asleep on a bicycle path. She was removed from the area without incident.

Littering

1:41 p.m. Tuesday, 23rd Street Northwest. Bemidji State University students were reportedly throwing cigarette butts on the ground. BSU security issued a verbal warning to the students and had them pick up the butts.

Peace disturbance

11:28 a.m. Tuesday, 3900 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Loud music complaint. The renter was issued a verbal warning.

Theft

11:09 a.m. Tuesday, First National Bank Bemidji. A bank employee reported an unauthorized transaction taken on a customer's debit card.

Burglary

11:02 a.m. 900 block of 12th Street Northwest. A residential burglary occurred during the daytime.

Sheriff's Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:

Assaults

11:09 p.m. Tuesday, Whisperwood Court Southwest. A 46-year-old man was arrested and two men were transported to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center's emergency room.

5:08 p.m. Tuesday, Finch Lane Southeast, Cass Lake. A 20-year-old man fled on foot but was apprehended without incident. A second party with a warrant was also located.

Burglary

7:56 a.m. Tuesday, Irvine Avenue Northwest, Puposky. Property was stolen from an outbuilding located in Durand Township.
