Please pick up after pets, and keep our parks clean
Fellow dog-lovers, let us be responsible when walking our pets, especially in our beautiful Diamond Point Park. As I walk around the park nearly every day, I cannot help but notice dog poop piles along the path. It doesn't take much effort to bring along a plastic baggy and pick up after our beloved pets and place the waste in one of the many trash containers.
The sad part of writing this letter is that the offenders probably do not read the newspaper. So, fellow citizens, please remind us dog-lovers that it would be nice if we picked up after our pets. Sure, it is embarrassing to reprimand an irresponsible citizen in public, but when they do not care about us and ruining our experience in this beautiful park, so be it.
A simple "Please, sir or ma'am, clean up after your pet" will possibly help them realize that they are responsible for their pet.
The same goes for people who consider the park a giant garbage yard. Plastic bags and containers do not disintegrate, and again there are several trash container throughout our beautiful park.
