Bagley and Kelliher appear to have the best shots at making a deep run into the postseason. The Flyers are 6-1 and end their campaign Wednesday at Blackduck. Last week Bagley stopped Walker-Hackensack-Akeley 50-7.

The Flyers currently are ranked fifth in Section 8AA, trailing Hawley, Barnesville, Warroad and Dilworth-GF. Frazee, Pelican Rapids, United North Central and WHA complete the current rankings.

In Section 8A Cass Lake-Bena currently sits fourth and Blackduck eighth. Fertile-Beltrami rules the roost and is expected to hold that spot after Wednesday's action.

Warren-AO is second, Red Lake Country third, CL-B fourth, Lake of the Woods fifth, Northern Freeze sixth, Fosston seventh and Blackduck eighth.

Last week CL-B dumped Lake of the Woods 37-12 and Wednesday the Panthers visit WHA.

Blackduck lost 34-8 to Red Lake County on Friday and Wednesday the Drakes host Bagley.

Kelliher-Northome is 4-3 after tripping Onamia 36-21 Friday. Wednesday the Mustangs visit Nevis.

K-N is rated third in the current Section 7 Nine-Man picture, trailing North Woods and Bigfork. The massive section, in terms of geographic area, also includes Ely, Mountain Iron-Buhl, Northeast Range, Chisholm and Littlefork-Big Falls.

Cass Lake-Bena collected three wins last week to improve to 9-11.

The streak began with a 25-6, 25-11, 25-12 victory over Red Lake. The next day the Panthers stopped Blackduck 24-26, 25-16, 25-13, 25-21 and the week ended with a 25-7, 25-5, 25-7 victory over Indus.

Today Cass Lake-Bena hosts Laporte in its regular season finale.

Laporte also is 9-11 and is coming off a 3-2 win over Verndale and a 3-0 victory over Bug O Nay Ge Shig.

Blackduck dropped its only match last week, losing to Cass Lake. Bagley went 1-1, losing 25-17, 25-19, 25-13 to Fertile-Beltrami but rallying to defeat Waubun 14-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-11.

Red Lake is 5-7 after a 3-2 loss to Bug O Nay Ge Shig, a 25-6, 25-11, 25-12 loss to CL-B and a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Fond du Lac.
