Plata-Swain

Katarzyna (Kasia) Plata, daughter of Bronislaw and Malgorzata Plata of Nowy Sacz, Poland, and Phillip Swain, son of Jane and Gary McCollom of Pinewood, Minn., and Bruce Swain of Elk River, Minn., were married June 23, 2012, at the bride's church in Nowy Sacz.

Kasia graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth in 2010, earning master's degrees in business administration and finance. She is employed as a business analyst at 3M in Maplewood, Minn.

Phillip is a 2012 graduate of Bemidji State University, earning a bachelor's degree in applied engineering. He is employed as a layout designer with Polaris Industries in Wyoming, Minn.

The couple resides in Woodbury.
