Permanent director hired at Historical Society

The Board of Directors for the Beltrami County Historical Society has announced Nicole Foss as the permanent part-time director of the Beltrami County Historical Society and History Center.

Foss has been the interim director since July 2011. She was voted in by the Board of Directors for the Society and the center at their Dec. 15 meeting.

Since Foss became interim director, she has written five grants on behalf of the Historical Society and History Center. In addition, she set up the traveling exhibit "Uncle Sam's New Deal" in August 2011, "Beltrami County in Mark Twain's Time" in October of 2011, and the current exhibit "Paul and Babe: 75 Years" that opened Jan. 20 and will be on display throughout 2012.
