PBTV adds six new HD networks to lineup
Paul Bunyan Communications has added six more networks in high definition to Paul Bunyan Television HD service.
The networks added to PBTV HD service include MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, Spike, Nickelodeon and CMT. There is no change in the cost to receive PBTV HD service, which now has more than 30 channels available.
"We are thrilled to add six more cable networks to our HD service and at no additional charge for our HD subscribers," said Brian Bissonette, Paul Bunyan Communications marketing supervisor. "We now offer nearly all of the major broadcast networks in high definition and many popular cable networks too."
The new networks can be found on the following channels: Spike HD, 616; Comedy Central HD, 668; Nickelodeon HD, 728; CMT HD, 850; VH1 HD, 854; and MTV HD, 864.
PBTV HD is delivered in the widescreen 16:9 format that provides a picture with a resolution more than 10 times that of standard television and the 4:3 format.
HD service can be added to PBTV service for an equipment fee of $9.95 per month. PBTV HD subscribers will receive the HD channels of the digital channels they subscribe to. Additional subscriptions may be required to receive all HD channels available. In order to receive a true high-definition signal, an HD-ready or HD-compatible television set is needed. PBTV HD service is compatible with HD television displays of 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. An installation fee may be required, depending upon location. Service availability depends upon location.
