Paul E. Lofgren, 75, of Waubun, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at St. Mary's Care Center in Detroit Lakes.
Paul was born on Feb. 10, 1932, in Hallock, to Axel and Mabel (Erickson) Lofgren. He attended Hallock High School, graduating with the class of 1950.
Upon graduation, he attended the University of Minnesota where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry (1954) and his Master of Science Degree (1958). He worked for several years teaching at a Veterinary Assistants school in Minneapolis and in ensuing years, he worked in Russell, Minn., Canby, Minn., and Ogema.
For the past six years, he has lived in a Seniors Apartment in Waubun. Paul had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed his many friends.
Paul is survived by his sister, Ruth Ann (Elmer) Kuhlman, Crosslake, Minn.; three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Phyllis (Jim) Buchan; and nephew, Philip Kuhlman.
No local services were held as Paul's wishes were to donate his body to the University of North Dakota's Medical School.
