Paul Bunyan Mall to host annual shopping fundraiser
Paul Bunyan Mall will host Back in the Swing Retail Therapy Week Oct. 11-17 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The annual shopping fundraising event, which began in Kansas City eight years ago, is being held across the United States to raise awareness and funds for post-treatment care for breast cancer survivors.
During the full week, many stores in Paul Bunyan Mall will participate in the program. Every consumer that makes a donation of $5 or more to Back in the Swing will receive a discount card (as much as 20 percent off) to use at participating stores during Retail Therapy Week.
The discount cards will be available Oct. 1-17 at the mall's management office. For details, e-mail Susan Goudge at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 751-3195. More than 40 shopping locations in the United States will have the Back in the Swing Discount Card benefiting breast cancer survivors.
Back in the Swing is the only national grassroots nonprofit organization exclusively dedicated to providing awareness, access and financial support for multidisciplinary, personalized, post-treatment clinical and supportive healthcare, and academic medical research in the field of breast cancer survivorship. In its first seven years, more than $2.5 million has been raised through local and national initiatives. For details, visit www.backintheswing.org.
