Parks-Brooks
Jennifer Lee Brooks, daughter of Gary and Candy Brooks of Nashwauk, and Verne LeRoy Parks Jr., son of Verne and Janet Parks of Solway, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
The couple will be married at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji. A dance is open to friends of the family at 8 p.m. Saturday at the National Guard Armory in Bemidji.
Jennifer is a 2003 graduate of Nashwauk-Keewatin High School and earned an early childhood education degree from Bemidji State University in 2007. She is currently employed as a paraprofessional at Lincoln Elementary.
Verne is a 2009 graduate of Northwest Technical College. He owns Parks Brothers Masonry of Solway, with his brother. He is also an active member of the Minnesota National Guard in Bemidji.
