Park Rapids man involved in fatal accident
A Park Rapids man was involved in an accident in which at least one individual died Wednesday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Oakdale, Minn.:
Jonathan Schupp, 54, of Park Rapids, was driving a 1989 Plymouth Voyager north on Pleasant Valley Road in Chisago County when he did not see a stop sign and crossed state Highway 8, where he struck the rear bumper of a 2002 Honda Road Street motorcycle. Both occupants on the motorcycle were ejected.
Schupp was not injured.
The State Patrol has classified the accident as a fatal crash, but it is unknown as to whether one of both of the motorcycle riders died as a result of the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.
The motorcycle was totaled. The Voyager sustained minor damage.
