It lifted the Ox into a first place tie with Roseau at 5-3. Warroad ended 2-6.

The Muskies, however, knocked both leaders out of a clear title, beating Roseau Friday night and Bemidji Sunday.

Should Bemidji be the second seed, games would be played Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, with Bemidji the home team for the Tuesday and Sunday contests.

Bemidji and Roseau divided their four games with the Ox holding a 13-11 runs scored advantage.

If Bemidji gains the top seed, it would have this week off and face the opening round winner next week.

Bemidji made the trip north with only nine players and was unable to maintain a scorebook leaving details of the twin bill scarce.

Dexter Dvergsten gave up 11 hits in the opener but never more than two in any inning.

Only one runner reached third, that coming in the seventh inning when Matt Fossen singled and Colton Smith doubled with two outs. But Dvergsten got the final out on a ground ball to end the game.

Thor Josefson, Dan Bennett and Smith all had two hits with five other batters having one. Smith's double was the only extra base hit.

Fossen took the loss, his fifth.

Smith won his fourth straight game in the nightcap backed by a solid attack

He worked out of a bases loaded jam in the fourth and coasted home.

Bemidji pounded out 19 hits, four by Josefson and Joel Conway and three from Bennett. Tony Hommes and Pat McSharry had two.

Hommes' double and McSharry's single plated a run in the second. Two more crossed in the third on a walk and Conway's home run.

Another pair scored in the fourth on a walk Josefson's double and Bennett's single.

It was another pair in the fifth on a double by Conway and singles by Hommes and Josefson.

The Blue Ox doubled the quota in the sixth with four on a hit batter, walk, Conway's single, an error and ground out.

Bemidji closed with five in the seventh on singles by Fossen, Josefson and Bennett, a double by Smith,. Conway's triple and a single by Hommes. Conway hit for the cycle.
