It plays in the Rosco Invitational this weekend at BSU.

Ada scored three times in the second and third to take charge of the opener and held off Bemidji's charge down the stretch.

Jameson Benson spaced eight hits to get the big victory.

Ada pounded out 14 off Cody Gross and Matt Fossen. Gross went the first four and suffered his second loss.

An error, walk and Joel Conway's single gave the Ox a 1-0 lead in the first.

Ada went ahead in the third when Keith Hanson singled in two runs and scored on a wild pitch.

Three more crossed in the third on another Hanson two-run single and a one bagger by Ken Hayden.

A double by Thor Josefson and singles by Sol Schneider and Josh Kelsey got two back for the Blue Ox in the fourth to trail 6-3.

Ada added its final run in the fifth on hits by Hayden and Adam Lee and Bemidji answered with one in the seventh on Nate Brown's double and a single by Joel Conway.

Kelsey, Brown and Conway had two hits each for Bemidji.

The Blue Ox carried a 3-2 lead into the last of the fifth and closed out the game with an eight-run sixth.

Sam Kinne went the route on a four hitter for the win. Sam Saccoman worked the first four with Schneider coming on for relief in the fifth.

Ada scored twice in the second on two walks and a single.

But the Blue Ox countered with three in the fifth to go ahead. Auston Zetah's single, a walk and Josefson's one bagger produced two.

Singles by Kelsey and Dan Bennett sent home the go-ahead run.

Ada matched those three in its at bat with no hits on four walks.

Bemidji tied the count at 5-5 with two in the sixth, also without a hit, on a walk and two errors.

But the roof fell in the last of the frame as Ada exploded for eight.
