Olson to oversee MeritCare clinics

MeritCare Clinic in Bemidji, which manages the MeritCare Blackduck, Cass Lake and Walker clinics, has welcomed executive partner Dan Olson.

Olson, former administrator of MeritCare Thief River Falls Northwest Medical Center Clinic, was promoted within the MeritCare system to Bemidji, where he assumed the role of overseeing day-to-day operations of all four Bemidji-area clinics in January.

Olson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business health care administration from Concordia College in Moorhead and a master's degree in health administration from the University of Minnesota. He has worked in health care administration since 1987.

"I am very excited to be working with the Bemidji, Blackduck, Cass Lake and Walker clinics," Olson said.

"An avid biker and runner, Olson lives with his wife, Val, and their son Ryan. He also has an older son, Matthew, who is attending Concordia College in Moorhead.
