Previously, volunteers were requested to help cleanup Library and Paul Bunyan parks, but those parks appear to be in good shape.

Volunteers are asked to check-in at the Nymore Park tennis courts off of Miles Avenue between 8 a.m. and noon. Efforts will focus on Nymore and Otto Schmunk parks.

For details, call Tina at 308-3780.

Rako Street hours

The city's drop-off site along Rako Street for residents' branches and trees has announced new hours.

This week, it will be open noon to 8 p.m. through Friday.

Next week, from July 16-20, it will be open 4-8 p.m. and noon to 4 p.m. July 21.

The city reminds residents that they must bring proof of their city residency and the site is unable to accept root balls.

Volunteers

Employees from Home Depot have volunteered to work Wednesday and were assigned to areas needing assistance.

Volunteers from the Beltrami County Emergency Operations Team also have been volunteering this week as traffic control at Diamond Point Park and will be on hand at the city's composting site.
