NTC offers 608 Certification course
A certification course will be offered May 19-20 at Northwest Technical College for those who need 608 certification (Core, Type 1, 2 and 3) for their jobs. The course will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The certification is for those who work on industrial stationary cooling systems. The U.S. government requires all individuals who open a system or container holding a controlled refrigerant to be certified. People who work on stationary equipment or use refrigerant designed for these systems can become certified by passing a proctored Section 608 examination.
The registration deadline is Friday, May 14. The cost is $200 plus a $15 book. There also is an $18.50 fee for the exam at the end of the training.
