NRCS members plant natural grasses at J.W. Smith in Bemidji
Members of the Natural Resource Conservation Service from the northwest region came to Bemidji to plant more than 500 natural grass species at the Minnesota Biome project at J.W. Smith Elementary School. Krystal Story, center, NRCS Bemidji, plants some sweet grass Monday afternoon. The Minnesota Biome project over the past two years has had 150 species added to the outdoor learning project.
