Not so fast, spring; Cooler temps, precip in weekend forecast

BEMIDJI — The recent warming trend for the Bemidji area will cool off a bit this weekend.

The forecast from the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D., calls for cooler temperatures and precipitation through Monday.

While today’s temperature should hit the 60s, there’s a chance for rain overnight that may mix with snow into Saturday, when temperatures will be in the mid-50s.

Any snowfall, the weather service said, would be minimal, with amounts of less than an inch both Friday and Saturday nights.

Temperatures will remain cool Sunday and into next week, with highs forecast only in the 30s.
