Northwoods Politics: Marketing our state parks?
The state wants Minnesotans to use its state parks and trails. Not only does it display to future generations how important our natural resources are, but it also makes money.
The more people who buy permits to visit state parks or use things such as cross country ski trails, the more money the state rakes in. And that's especially good with the current state budget scenario.
