First-time champions: BHS boys soccer wins section title

Northome fifth graders once again studied, built and erupted volcanoes

Bernie Elhard's class showed preschool students the culmination of their studies on volcanoes by creating a blast of their own.

The class used Mentos and Coca Cola to cause the explosion.

The mints are dropped into the Coca Cola to create the explosive checmical reaction, much like vinegar and baking soda. The reaction is immediate and teacher found out what a cola shower feels like when one doesn't move away quickly enough.
