Up North Sports Report: Bemidji State-North Dakota will grow into classic WCHA rivalry

Our Bemidji State men's hockey beat writer, John J. McRae, was able to get a look at the hockey schedule for the 2010-11 season on Tuesday.

For those of you who don't know Bemidji very well, the rivalry between the Sioux and Beavers will definitely jump to a new level that opening weekend.

I'm sure the WCHA fan is asking, "Rivalry between UND and BSU? Are you crazy?"

Consider:

There's history between the two teams, the fans and now there's going to be WCHA points on the line. No longer will it just be a fun non-conference series to break up the winter grind.
