North Dakota, Minnesota fight over clean energy could get dirty
North Dakota has been poised for months to sue Minnesota over laws officials believe threaten the state's lignite industry and coal-fired electricity exports.
But Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem is waiting to see if a realignment of the Minnesota Legislature - with both chambers soon to be controlled by Republicans - might solve the problem by repealing the offending laws.
