North Dakota driver injured in cow-car accident

At 10:39 p.m. Wednesday, Schuyler J. Watchorn, 25, of Walcott, N.D., was driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan west on U.S. Highway 2 near the Bagley Livestock Exchange.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol in Thief River Falls, Watchorn pulled into the livestock yard and struck a cow. Watchorn and his passenger, Seth J. Halstad, 22, of Barnesville, Minn., were both wearing seatbelts. The van's airbag was also deployed.

Watchorn suffered a minor injury, but did not seek hospital treatment. Harstad was uninjured. The cow was injured and had to be killed.
