Valerie Norman, daughter of Steve and Julie Norman of Shevlin, and Matt Gennrich, son of Tom and Patti Gennrich of Las Cruces, N.M., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The couple will be married Saturday, June 6, at Itasca State Park. A dance will follow at the Bagley Legion.
Valerie earned a degree in chemistry from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
Matt earned a degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
The couple will reside in Ridgecrest, Calif.
