No safety concerns following morning lock-down at NLS schools in New London
NEW LONDON – A temporary lock-down was conducted this morning in the New London-Spicer Middle School and High School after a student experienced a crisis situation.
No weapons were involved and all the students are safe.
Parents in the NLS school district received automated phone messages around 9:30 this morning informing them about the lockdown.
The message said a student was in crisis and the lock-down was initiated to prevent other students from witnessing it.
The message said that “No weapons were involved” and “everyone is safe.”
