Hull will be responsible for NMF communication, marketing and events. She will write and edit NMF publications, media releases, social media and website content; support marketing for community and component funds; promote training and business development workshops; and plan and coordinate the foundation's banquets, receptions and conferences.

"We're extremely pleased that Ashley has joined the foundation as our communications specialist," said NMF President Nancy Vyskocil. "She has worked in the media realm and with several nonprofit agencies throughout her career.

"She is also well-acquainted with communities in the region, which will allow her to quickly align her experience with the NMF mission."

Hull, originally from Ohio, graduated in 2005 from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and mass communications. She most recently worked for Lakeland Public Television as the legacy production manager, hosting the local production "Common Ground."

Hull's volunteer work includes being an active member of the Bemidji Area Arts Endowment Board and a former volunteer for Bemidji Area Habitat for Humanity.

"I am thrilled to be working for the Northwest Minnesota Foundation," Hull said. "NMF has a wonderful mission and an incredible impact on rural communities, so I am looking forward to being able to promote and inform the public of their work."

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is a public, charitable foundation serving 12 counties of Northwest Minnesota by investing resources, creating opportunities and promoting philanthropy.
