Minnesota Finlandia Community Health Sports, organizers of Montebello Nite Ski, announced that the event has been postponed until Jan. 25 in hopes of warmer weather.

At this time, all other Brrrrmidji Polar Daze events will go on as scheduled, said Lori Paris, executive director of the Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce, Thursday afternoon.

"We encourage people to use their best judgment," she said. "It is Polar Daze. It is cold."

The Polar Daze events planned for this weekend include the 5K Polar Challenge Run/Walk. If runners and walkers who have already registered choose not to participate, they are still encouraged to still stop by and pick up their participant package, Paris said. Also, they will still be eligible for door prizes.

People with questions about Polar Daze can call the Chamber of Commerce until 5 p.m. Friday.
