Family canoe exploration set
BEMIDJI -- Explore Lake Bemidji by canoe 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Outdoor Program Center at Diamond Point Park.
Cost is $15 for 12 and older and $5 for 11 and younger.

Open house for Knutson Dam
BEMIDJI -- An open house to learn about the future of the Knutson Dam on Cass Lake will be from 3-6 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Highway 2 Visitor Center, in Cass Lake.
The Knutson Dam is failing and the Chippewa National Forest - U.S. Forest Service is looking at options for either repairing or replacing it.

BEMIDJI-- The Bemidji Community Food Shelf, 1260 Industrial Park Dr. SE, welcomes produce from local gardens.
Gardeners may drop off donations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
