New weight-loss challenge begins

The Northwoods Area Weight Loss Challenge began Wednesday at the Walter and Rachel Scott Center (ReStore building), 1357 Industrial Park Drive S.E.

The 12-week nonprofit course will be held Wednesdays from 5-6:30 p.m.. It may run longer after the first two weeks depending on registration. Nutrition and exercise tips will be provided.

Of the $35 registration fee, $25 will go to prizes to winners and $10 will go to the North Country Regional Hospital Patient Education Department for childhood obesity education programs.

P.J. Casinelli, a personal wellness coach, will led the program, "Decisions to a Better Lifestyle." Participants may use any weight-loss program they like, from Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers to a customized plan.

Herbal weight-loss products and nutrition products will be available for purchase.
