New Subway planned near Bemidji mall

BEMIDJI – A new Subway is expected to open here in December.

Developer Wes Hegna confirmed that a new standalone Subway is under construction near Taco John’s outside of Paul Bunyan Mall.

The Subway now located at 1008 Paul Bunyan Drive NW will relocate into the new building once it is complete, Hegna said Friday. He expects the building to be complete around Dec. 1.

The new Subway will have a drive-through and will be similar to the south Subway, which opened in the Pamida parking lot in 2010, Hegna said.

However, the north location will not have additional storefronts available like the south site; it will be a single, standalone building.
