ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Como Zoo's newest Saki monkey is on display at the primate building this week — but zoo officials say they won't know if it's a boy or a girl for a few weeks.

For now, zoo officials named the monkey "Green Bean," because its mother, Patty, has been eating green beans since she gave birth on Saturday.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the monkey's gender won't be known until its facial coloring develops. It will get an official name then.

Zookeepers estimate Green Bean weighs well below one pound. Adult Saki monkeys typically weigh between three and five pounds and are 12 to 16 inches long, not counting the tail. The monkeys are native to the rainforests of Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana.
