Email

The recent streak of unseasonably warm weather helped Grand Forks and Fargo set new records Monday.

The National Weather Service reported its Grand Forks office near the UND campus recorded a high temperature of 49 degrees, well above the previous record for the date of 42 degrees set in 1994.

Hector International Airport in Fargo recorded a high of 51 degrees. That bested the previous record of 45 degrees set in 1959.
