Bemidji Minnesota P.O. Box 455 56619

"NCAL established National Assisted Living Week® in 1995 as a way to promote assisted living to the public. It provides a unique opportunity for residents, families, staff, volunteers and the surrounding community to come together to celebrate and enjoy a variety of events that show the residents how much we care for and love them. The 2011 celebration will be held Sept.11-17."

Celebrating on another

The staff at the Good Samaritan Society-Blackduck would love to invite our friends, family members and community members to join us in celebrating National Assisted Living week.

We would like to spend this week celebrating one another by showing our residents how much we love and appreciate them. Come and get to know the important people that surround us and make this a wonderful community by joining us at one or all of our fun filled events...

National Assisted Living Week events which the community is invited to include:

Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. Progressive Whist in the community room -- refreshments provided.

Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. Ladies tea and snack in the senior living sun room with time to reminisce about the "good ol' days."

Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. trivia game in the senior living great room -- test your knowledge of the past and present.

Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. Guys car chat in the senior living sun room. Talk about, bring photos of, or show up in your favorite car. Reminisce about those favorite automobiles and the era in which you drove them.

Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. Diane and Clyde Sutton discuss their 21 years of Mission Work in Brazil in the senior living great room
