Myron John Fisher went home to be with his true love, Mary Ellen “Mickey”, at the age of 88 years, on April 11, 2013, at the Northern Pines Good Samaritan Center in Blackduck, MN.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Pony Lake Trinity Lutheran Church in Bemidji, MN with Rev. Bill Goodman officiating. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Myron and Mickey were married on October 1, 1948. Myron was a life long resident of Hutchinson, MN. He was the son of John Fisher and Minnie Katzenmeyer. He spent 4 years in the Army and was at the Normandy Landing as well as the Battle of the Bulge. He retired as a postmaster from the Hutchinson Post Office in 1986, after 27 years. Myron enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions, and working on their family cabin. He enjoyed watching his 4 grandchildren grow to adulthood, and also enjoyed the company of his 10 great-grandchildren.

Myron is survived by his son: John (C.J.) Fisher of Bemidji. His 4 grandchildren; Michelle (Dave) Barlow of England, Nichole Fisher Christine Bullington, and Joseph (Kathryn) Fisher of Bemidji, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Harriet, brothers Earl and Alvin.
