CASS LAKE — The final stop in the 2013 Cabela's Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC) fishing series begins Friday and will continue through Saturday or Sunday on the Cass Lake Chain.

The event will be based out of Stony Point Resort in Cass Lake and the anglers will hit the water at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday is reserved as the tournament's final fishing day if bad weather prevents the anglers from launching their boats either Friday or Saturday.

The first flight of boats will return to the weigh-in area at Stony Point Resort at 4 p.m. each day.

FollowinFriday's weigh-in the tournament organizers are hosting a free youth and family fishing clinic at the weigh-in area. The first 50 youngsters who attend will receive a free fishing rod and reel combo and a t-shirt. The clinic is designed to be a fun and educational of aquatic invasive species, fish identification and boat safety.

In addition to Cass Lake the anglers may fish Buck, Andrusia, Big Wolf, Kitchi and Pike Bay.

The public is invited to the weigh-ins and youngsters are encouraged to attend the fishing clinic.
