Mustang softball player selected to the Class A All-State softball team
Kelliher-Northome Mustang senior shortstop Brooke Lindner was selected to the Class A All-State softball team. The top 48 players in Class A were chosen and Lindner earned Honorable Mention status.
The All-State team consists of 15 first team, 15 second team and 18 Honorable Mention.
Nearly 100 girls from around the state were nominated and all were very worthy selections.
For the second year in a row, Lindner led the Mustangs in nearly every offensive category. In 19 games this year, she hit 27 of 55 for a .491 average. She had an on-base-percentage of .588, scored 21 runs and drove in 18. She also had eight doubles and four triples.
She was also the rock in the field -- the team will truly miss her slick glovework and rocket throws.
