The second win for Mustangs boys was against Lake of the Woods. The game was Dec. 14. The game was another fun game to watch but not a good game to coach. This game was very frustrating. The boys didn't play as well as they did against Walker again. This time though they came back with a win. The score was 74-70.

The JV came out and played their game. They won by quite a bit. It was a good game to watch and would have been fun to play in.

In the game against Clearbrook Dec. 17, the score was 43-47 The game was a disappointing loss. The Mustangs pulled even at the end of the first half at 27 each. The boys came out and played with them but then half way through the Bears pulled away and kept their distance.

All I can say is that if you looked at any of the Mustang players, you would have seen the sadness.

Coach Bob Stueven said, "We started off slow. The bench created a spark. The comeback seemed to have beaten them down but we couldn't seem to get it started in the second."

On the other side, the JV won. They had a hard fought night. The score was 49-54. They played hard and well. They came out swinging and finished swinging. The top scorer had 22 points.

The game Dec. 21 was against Hill City. The boys won with a score of 82-67. This brought the Mustangs to a nice and even 500 record at 3-3.

The game was a very upbeat game. There were lots of fouls and free throws. The Mustang boys came out this game and set the pace. The score at the half was that they were only up by a couple of points and that Hill City was very upset and was going to come out and try to take it away from them.

Unlike the second halves of late, the boys did come out and they played their game. The lead slowly grew. There were some scares but in the end they pulled out with a win.

The other positive of that night was the JV win too with a score of 60-39. The JV came out to play, too. They shot the gun and kept it up. Their record is now 5-1. They are way over 500 and are looking to the next game which is against Walker at Northome.

Both teams went into Christmas with a win and are definitely looking forward to going over 500 or to keep there record above 500.
