Mudcats fall twice to Duluth

BEMIDJI - The Bemidji Mudcats will take an 0-2 record into tonight's game against Grand Rapids after dropping a home doubleheader Sunday to Duluth.

The Mudcats lost Sunday's opener 4-0 and dropped the rematch 8-3.

Dylan Webb, Matt Hietala and Jaryd Marks had Bemidji's three hits in the first game.

In the nightcap Duluth scored six runs in the fifth inning to open a 7-0 advantage and the Mudcats never caught up. Bemidji did tally three runs in the lower sixth on a walk, error and singles by Tony Klaers, Marks and Brian Murphy.
