Daniel Orion Opgrand says his memory about the early morning April 16 incident is foggy because he'd been drinking. But he agreed the evidence shows that he committed the felony.

When asked how he broke into the AmericInn hotel in Moorhead, Opgrand said, "I imagine that I broke a window."

The hotel sustained more than $1,000 in damage.

Under a plea agreement, Opgrand will pay $300 in restitution and serve a jail sentence equivalent to 60 days with credit for good time. He has previously spent 20 days in custody.
