Minnesota's Floodwood School goes on lockdown

FLOODWOOD - Floodwood School is on a lockdown, the school district’s superintendent confirmed this morning.

Superintendent Herb Hilinski said the school is in a lockdown “warning” mode, meaning all the doors to the school are locked, but classes are going on as normal. He declined to comment on the reason for the lockdown.

“Law enforcement is involved,” Hilinski said. “Until they have completed their investigation, I don’t really have much information.”

Students are safe, Hilinski said.

The grades K-12 school has about 280 students.
