Officials say the boat of 17-year-old Derrick Evans of Waterville overturned Saturday morning. Two other teens were able to reach the Sabre Lake shore, but police say Evans was last seen clinging to the boat.

Deputies say the water had been choppy due to windy conditions.

Authorities searched for Evans since about 9 a.m. They recovered his body about 1:30 p.m.

Kilkenny is about 70 miles south of the Twin Cities.
