The House bill passed late Sunday by a vote of 220-211. The legislation would extend coverage to 32 million uninsured Americans, reduce deficits and ban insurance company practices such as denying coverage to people with pre-existing medical conditions.

Voting yes were Minnesota Democratic Reps. Keith Ellison, Betty McCollum, James Oberstar and Timothy Walz. Rep. Collin Peterson was among 33 House Democrats who voted no.

All 178 House Republicans opposed the bill. That includes Minnesota Reps. Michele Bachmann, John Kline and Erik Paulsen.
