Minn. man gets 2 months in jail in fatal hit-run
HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) — A Rosemount man has been sentenced to two months in jail for a 2009 hit-and-run that fatally injured a deaf woman.
A judge Tuesday also sentenced 44-year-old Eric James Hunter to three years probation.
Hunter pleaded guilty in October to leaving the scene of an accident that caused a death, a felony. That followed a 2010 trial that ended in a hung jury and a Minnesota Court of Appeals battle over whether he could be retried.
