A Rochester Post-Bulletin report says the first public hearing is Tuesday evening. Four other hearings are also scheduled in New Ulm, Bemidji, Duluth and Plymouth.

The state Department of Natural Resources is proposing to remove 15 plants and 14 animals from the list, while adding 114 plants and 67 animals.

People who want to comment on the proposed changes will be allowed to present testimony at the hearings. A list of the changes is available on the DNR's website.

Written comments can also be submitted to the Office of Administrative Hearings in St. Paul.
