MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minneapolis airport employee is accused of stealing weapons and hundreds of other items from passengers' checked luggage.

Twenty-three-year-old David Vang of St. Paul is charged with 11 felony counts, including 10 counts of theft of a firearm.

Charges issued last week say authorities installed hidden cameras after police at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport received reports of thefts. The video showed Vang removing items from baggage, then taking them to a parking ramp where his wife had a vehicle.

Authorities say 716 stolen items, valued at more than $84,000, were found in Vang's apartment.

The complaint says Vang initially claimed the weapons fell out of luggage, but later admitted to stealing them.

Vang does not have a listed attorney. A working phone number for Vang was not immediately available.
