Michael W. Kiehl, 21, of Odanah, Wis., passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, Wis.
Michael Wayne Kiehl was born the son of Jennie Scott and Matthew Sweetwater on Feb. 21, 1987 in Ashland. He attended the Bad River Tribal School for four years. He had recently been employed at the Bad River Casino and enjoyed his work there very much.
Michael enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, listening to music and spending time with friends and family. He liked having a good time. His dream was to travel to Hawaii and visit his good friend, Dakota Denomie. He was a person who was always available to help other people.
Surviving Michael are his mother, Jennie Scott of Ashland; his father, Matthew Sweetwater of Frazee; sisters, Tera Kiehl and twins Adrienne and Kelly Livingston of Ashland; his grandparents, Donald Smart of Odanah, James Scott of Odanah and Jeanette Nicholson of White Earth; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts and great uncles.
Preceding him in death were his grandmother, Susan Smart; great grandmother, Marie Chidsey; great grandmother, Irene Scott; great grandfather, Louis Neveaux; and great grandfather, Francis Scott.
A traditional memorial service was held Thursday, June 5, at the Bad River Community Center.
The Frost Home for Funerals in Ashland was entrusted with the arrangements.
