NORFOLK, Va. -- Former Bemidji State forward Radoslav Illo has signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with the Norfolk Admirals, the team confirmed Friday.

The Admirals are an AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks. Illo, a native of Bystrica, Slovakia, was drafted by the Ducks in the fifth round of the 2009 NHL draft.

The 6-foot, 200-pound forward scored 10 goals and had seven assists (17 points) in 31 games this season.

He finished his BSU career with 25 goals and 29 assists (54 points) in his four years in green and white.

Illo was listed on Norfolk’s roster as of Friday afternoon and is expected to make his debut with the Admirals Saturday when the team takes on the Binghamton Senators.
