The Beavers dropped to 8-8 overall on the season and 6-6 in the NSIC after losing both games of a weekend road trip.

They return home next weekend to take on Minnesota State Moorhead on Friday night and Northern State on Saturday.

Maxie Rosenbloom’s layup with 14:38 left in the game brought Bemidji State within 51-45, but the Peacocks started their decisive spurt a minute later and took a 62-46 advantage with 11:42 to play.

The Beavers’ Zach Noreen scored seven quick points to cut the deficit to four, but a pair of 3-point baskets by Sam Elgin gave Upper Iowa a 69-61 lead.

Elgin finished with 27 points to lead all scorers.

Noreen and Lance Rongstad scored 14 for the Beavers.
